Frischzelle_26: André Wischnewski
The sculptor André Wischnewski (b. 1983 in Crivitz) explores the interplay of language and architecture. By releasing pictorial elements from the comic sphere, he emphasizes the onomatopoeia peculiar to this genre and reveals his architectural framework. The spaces thus created transform themselves into new narratives, which viewers can then experience as spatial drawings. These narrations are expanded by modified sound citations and utopian architectural visions, growing in turn out of language and sound—or their absence. The “Frischzelle_26” is Wischnewski’s first museum solo exhibition.
