Annual tickets

Annual tickets can be purchased at the museum box office or ordered in advance online bestellungen [at] kunstmuseum-stuttgart [dot] de (by mail) according to our terms and conditions and stating your billing and shipping address. Please indicate which annual ticket you wish to purchase when ordering.

  •     Reduced (for pupils, students, severely disabled persons) € 30
  •     Child (for one child up to and including 12 years of age and one accompanying person) € 20

After your order has been received, you will receive an invoice by e-mail. The Annual ticket will be sent as soon as the invoice amount has been credited to our account. Please note that a shipping fee of € 1.50 will be charged for shipping within Germany.

Annual tickets are valid for one year from the date of issue and are non-transferable. Please show the card at the museum ticket office together with your identity card. For reduced annual tickets, proof of entitlement to a reduction (e.g. student ID) must also be presented.



The 2G Plus rule currently applies to the museum visit, events and guided tours.
Please bring one of the following proofs with you:

  • complete vaccination (proof is now only possible with a QR code, printed out or in the app, or alternatively with a check card from the pharmacy. The yellow vaccination certificate is no longer sufficient. The proof of vaccination must be shown together with an ID).
  • Recovery (Proof of recovery must be shown together with an ID).

and additionally a negative rapid antigen test (max. 24 hours old) or PCR test (max. 48 hours old).

Excluded from the testing requirement in Alert level II are:

  • boostered persons
  • vaccinated persons with completed basic immunization, if no more than three months have passed since the last required single vaccination
  • convalescents whose infection can be proven to have occurred no more than three months ago (proof of infection must be provided by laboratory diagnostics using nucleic acid detection/PCR test)
  • convalescents whose subsequent vaccination was not more than three months ago
  • children up to 5 years of age and children who have not yet started school
  • persons up to 17 years of age who are no longer attending school (negative antigen test required)
  • elementary school students, students of a special education and counseling center, a school that builds on the elementary school or a vocational school (presentation of the student ID, a school certificate, a copy of the last annual report card, a student subscription or other written proof of the school required)

The current Coronavirus rules Baden-Württemberg applies, which lists further exeptions to the testing requirement.


Please follow our distance and hygiene measures:

In order to make the exhibition visit safe during the Corona pandemic,

  • visitors and museum staff must wear an FFP2 mask (cf. KN95 or other equivalent masks) correctly over the mouth and nose
  • your contact information will be collected for the purpose of tracing infections with SARS-CoV-2.
  • we ask visitors to keep the required distance of at least 1.5 meters from other visitors and personnel
  • everyone must show consideration for each other by waiting until the area in front of narrow passages or stairs is clear
  • no liquids of any kind are permitted in the exhibition rooms—this unfortunately also applies to hand disinfectants (cf. our house rules)
  • stay at home if you do not feel well

Guided tours by third parties are currently only permitted with a maximum of 12 persons (incl. guide).

The data can only be viewed and processed by authorized persons. If further data is required, consent must be obtained from the user again, separately. Collected data is (automatically) deleted after 24 months.

Media Guide & WiFi

Media Guide & WLAN are currently not available.

The perfect companion for your museum visit: our media guide leads you individually through our collection and exhibitions. Each tour can be adapted to your interests and wishes: Short and concise or detailed and in-depth, for children or adults, in German or English.

You can download the Mediaguide free of charge as an app from the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store. Simply connect your mobile device to our WLAN “Kunstmuseum.” For an undisturbed museum experience, please remember to bring your own headphones.

Please note: For copyright reasons, the use of the content is only possible within the museum building, a connection to the WLAN “Kunstmuseum” in the museum is therefore necessary. Loan devices for using the app can be borrowed from the museum ticket office for a fee of € 3.
