FAQ
Ticket Purchase
Online tickets will be sent to you by email as a PDF (print-at-home). You can present them digitally on your smartphone or as a printout with a clearly readable QR code for validation at the museum. Tickets are only valid on the selected date or for the booked event. Discounted tickets are only valid in conjunction with appropriate proof and photo ID, which must be presented together with the ticket at the entrance.
Payment Methods
In the ticket shop, you can pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard), PayPal, or SEPA direct debit.

Returns
Please note that online tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded. There is no right of withdrawal according to § 312b BGB.
Validity
Your ticket is only valid on the selected date during the museum’s opening hours. You may leave the museum temporarily (e.g. to visit the café or shop) and return later on the same day.
Tickets for guided tours or events are valid only at the specified time. For guided tours, both a valid admission ticket and a separate tour ticket are required.
Lost Tickets
Please note that lost tickets cannot be replaced or refunded. There is no entitlement to replacement tickets in case of loss.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers can be purchased in any chosen amount both online and at the museum ticket desk—and can be redeemed there too. Please note that vouchers cannot be used in the museum café or the Walther König bookstore.
Catalogs, Posters, and Merchandise
Catalogs, posters, and merchandise items are available at the museum shop operated by Buchhandlung Walther König, located in the museum foyer. Catalogs can also be purchased at the museum ticket desk.
The Buchhandlung Walther König offers a wide selection of exhibition catalogs, artist monographs, art theory books, design objects, postcards, and posters.
Group Inquiries
For groups of 10 or more, registration is required. Therefore, the maximum number of tickets purchasable online is limited to 9.
