Frischzelle_29: Hannah J. Kohler
The photo artist Hannah J. Kohler deals with self-perception and the perception of others, various manifestations of femininity and social role models. In photo series, video works, and mixed media installations she works with self-presentations that range from depictions of the primordial mother Gaia in ancient Greece to current social prejudices. In doing so, she not only refers to art historical models, but also develops her very own and at times humorous style.
Hannah J. Kohler (*1997 in Geislingen an der Steige) studied fine arts and photography at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart (Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste). The “Frischzelle_29” is her first solo museum exhibition.
